PROUD MOTHER MOMENT
Tonight for family night I told the kids that it was there to turn to do the family night. I asked Colby to go down to his room and go through his testimony treasure box. This is a box we made to keep things they make in church or family nigh so they can look back on them or use them in talks or family night. Then I asked Kaylee to do the songs. I asked her to pick two songs and then tell us why she likes them and what they mean to her. Weston and I worked on the treat. I have never done this before, so I was not sure how it was going to go. I tell you I could have never been so proud. When we sat down everyone was so excited to share what they had worked on.
Kaylee started with her song " I picked I am a child of God , I like this song because it talks about Heavenly Father, and how we are all his children. Weston prayed for us then Colby was up. "Ok I want to talk about being kind" he holds up a picture of Jesus with the little children "does Jesus look like he is being kind ? he is he loves everyone, so we should be kind to everyone". He holds up a stuffed animal "We also need to be kind to our animals" He holds up a book "We need to take care of our things, treat them kind too." He holds up a little red heart that reads, I Love You." We also need to love just like Jesus amen." Then kaylee gets up and does the closing song "I picked I love to see the Temple, because the Temple is Heavenly Father house, and he loves it and so do I" we sing and close.
Can I just say I was so impressed, I was so proud of my kids at that moment I just wanted to freeze and remember . My kids just never fail to amaze me. They are so close to the spirit, and their testimony are so unwavering. It is night like tonight I am glowing , just so poud to be able to raise such wonderful little spirits.
